Hi everyone, it’s been a tough week in America. I hope you’re managing to stay safe. I’m doing well, but it’s been tough to focus the past couple days. Hopefully we can use this time of chaos to emerge a more equitable country.
👩💻 Growing the Team (Hopefully)
In the past few weeks, we figured out who would be the best possible person to join ZmURL. This week we pitched her on joining. She’s considering it…
It’s still in progress, but we are very excited. I hope to let you know who this is in a later update 😃.
📈 ZmURL Numbers
We had our best week for number of registrations averaging ~ 1250 registrations / day, an 11% increase over our previous high.
We saw lower numbers on Memorial Day weekend but the week was buoyed by high numbers Tuesday thru Friday. The invites feature we released last week was used to invite over 1,000 guests.
We’re thinking about switching our primary metric from number of registrations to a metric that measures traction with paid events. More on this soon…
💰 Tipping / Donations
We polished tipping and prepared it for release this week. We will be rolling it to ZmURL hosts this week.
🥅 Goals
Event registrations — 1,350 / day (note: this might take a backseat to a new goal relating to $ processed)
Payment improvements — tipping, save credit cards, new payment flow
🏃♂️ Personal Life
I just got back home after spending the past week in Carmel, CA in a rental house with my roommates.
It was nice to get away from the city and to not have to worry about wearing masks while outside. I went on a couple really nice runs in Garland Ranch as shown in the photo. The park is a nice mixture of flat desert areas with woody trails in the hills.
